About this Event
Awareness of our biases is foundational to becoming more diverse, equitable and inclusive. Unconscious bias is something everyone has – it’s not a character flaw, it’s what makes us human. While we may never be free of unconscious bias, we can learn to be more aware of it and reduce potentially harmful and hindering impacts on others. Unconscious bias may cause human resources professionals to unintentionally favor some groups – often people who are similar to the hiring or recruitment team – over others. This can lead to differences in who is hired and recruited, who gets offered opportunities and whose voice is heard. Sign up for this training for human resource professionals to understand and be aware of unconscious bias and clear steps to manage it. In this training, you will move from awareness to action and make the best decisions for yourself, your organization and, ultimately, your community.
